“Catch and Release” out now at Daikaijuzine

New fiction day! “Catch and Release” is out in Daikaijuzine Issue 021: Mandra and I couldn’t be more excited.

This is the story I’d point people to if they wanted to know what my writing was about. I write across lot of different themes and genres, but this is the Kiera Lesley cliche: contemporary fantasy with messy female friendship, weird monsters and bittersweet feelings.

This piece represents a real level up in craft for me, too, in no small thanks to Angela Slatter’s flensing factory which I highly recommend. My prose has never been the same.
